January 18 – Confirmation – Elana Paice Lidsky

We had a great session in Confirmation this week.  The class had the opportunity to meet with Mark Anshan, a past president of Holy Blossom Temple and a senior volunteer in the wider Reform movement. Mark gave the students an interesting history of Holy Blossom.

We viewed archival materials and wandered the building while learning about Holy Blossom from its founding as a Orthodox synagogue in the 1850’s, downtown and its physical and spiritual movement of over 150+ years to becoming a Reform congregation at our present site.  Ask the students something new they learned about Temple!  A friendly reminder/request to families – Please make an effort for the students to be in class each week and to arrive by 6:30.  Thank you very much.
