Installation of our new Assistant Rabbi Jordan Helfman
Saturday, October 5 2013.
Rabbi Helfman has already had an impact on the life of our congregation.
Let’s give him and his family a warm welcome.
One of his favourite teachers, Rabbi Kogan, Professor of Philosophy at Hebrew Union College will give the sermon.
A special Kiddush Luncheon will follow for all to enjoy.
I have had the privilege to encounter Rabbi Jordan Helfman in two key Holy Blossom initiatives over the summer – Renewal Engagement (Building Renewal), and Campaign for Youth Engagement. He has already brought a wonderful ruach, a willingness to reach out and connect with our congregants, especially our youth and young adults & young families, and I’ve appreciated his creative ability to help move our initiatives forward. I have already been touched and honoured by his presence in our community and look forward to celebrating Rabbi Helfman’s installation. If you haven’t met him and his family yet, I highly recommend you say hello.
