Dr. Mary Jo Leddy
Member of the Order of Canada, writer, speaker, theologian and social activist.
We will honour Dr. Leddy for her work with refugees at Toronto’s Romero House. The founding editor of the Catholic New Times and the author of the books “Say to the Darkness We Beg to Differ”, Reweaving Religious Life: Beyond the Liberal Model, At the Border Called Hope: Where Refugees are Neighbours and Radical Gratitude.
Please also join us immediately following the award ceremony for an informational reception, where we will highlight various agencies from around Toronto that work with refugees, immigrants, and new Canadians.
