H.O.M.E. – Hands on Mitzvah Experiences

H.O.M.E. is a new program for our grade 7 and 8 students wanting to do hands-on social action work.

Once a month on a Monday, we will meet prior to Senior School, and fulfill a different Mitzvah – making soup to be delivered through the Bikkur Cholim to congregants who are ill, packing school kits for children in need, making sandwiches to be delivered by the Ve’ahavta van, etc.

Students will be able to use these Mitzvah experiences towards the completion of their Shaarei Kehillah workbook, as a part of Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparations.

If you have an idea for a hands-on Mitzvah project, or have a Bar/Bat Mitzvah project that you need help with, bring it H.O.M.E.
