The Holy Bs make it two straight with a 21 – 13 win
On June 12th, the Bs welcomed first time players Matthew Dicker and Adam Anshan to the team and both of them had good debuts reaching base two out of three times apiece. Nice to have some young blood on the team especially from some guys whose families are so involved in Holy Blossom life and governance.
The Bs let Har Zion take a 5 – 0 lead in the first inning but got the momentum firmly on our side when Randy Cass launched a three run homerun over the fence in left centre field. Randy and Jordan Glicksman batting behind him each went 3 for 3 and scored three times. Other offensive stars for the Bs were Jonathan Burton with a 4 for 4 day at the plate and Bob Cooper who was 3 for 3. Mr. Cooper also made some fine plays on the right side of the infield. David Rosenberg had another great day at the plate going 3 for 4 and making some very nice catches in the outfield.
The Holy B defence did its part holding Har Zion to only 5 runs in the last six innings and not allowing any runs in the last three innings.
Many thanks to our fans who showed up to cheer on the team including Jack Borins, Nathan Cass and Benjamin Cass.
Next Game: Sunday June 19 9am against Pride of Israel at Bishops Cross Park, John Street east of Leslie in Markham. Fans are always welcome.
