Holy Blossom Temple has a Youth Director!

We are excited to announce that Lisa Isen Baumal’s role has been expanded at Holy Blossom Temple into a full Youth Director position.

By linking the youth groups and the religious school departments under the responsibilities of a Youth Director  we can work together to move HBT’s youth offerings into cutting-edge Jewish experiential education.  Lisa’s new responsibilities include being the advisor for YEAH, JYG, and HABSTY.  She will also work to coordinate with Shamai.  We are confident that in this role she can reinvigorate our youth education programs.

Lisa Isen Baumal has been the School Program Coordinator at Holy Blossom Temple for the past six years, and has coordinated the Bar/Bat Mitzvah program for the past three.

We know that through these roles, Lisa has had the opportunity to meet many families and to engage with many of the young individuals in our community.

We know that Lisa is thrilled to be taking on this new role of Youth Director, where she will be able to further engage with the youth of our congregation in many settings, both in and out of the building.  She is excited to be able to bring her years of experience in informal and formal Jewish education to blend and enrich HBT’s youth.  In addition to her experience in religious school settings, Lisa has spent time at the Hillel of Greater Toronto as the director of the Wolfond Centre at the University of Toronto, on Union for Reform Judaism summer camps, and has run youth groups at other synagogues in the past.
