Deadline Extended! Holy Blossom Mentorship Program

We are proud to announce the inaugural group of the Holy Blossom Temple Mentorship Program.  We are extremely proud of our members and all that they do in all aspects of their lives – be it professional, volunteer, at home, or within the Jewish or secular communities. Holy Blossom has been called ‘the most influential synagogue in Canada’ and this program expands on that reputation to bring forward the younger generation to build our sense of community, pride, and personal, as well as professional, development. This program creates an opportunity for our members, both as mentors and mentees, to engage in a mentorship program to help shape a new generation of leaders.

Mentors

We are looking for members interested in being a part of this program. Members can provide mentorship on multiple topics, not just professional. In the application, there is a section to list all the topics you would like to offer; these can range from expertise in your professional field, to finding a work/life balance, to your involvement in the Jewish community, just to name a few. Once matched with a mentee, all we require is to meet them for coffee, the rest is for you two to discuss and decide your future involvement, if any.

Mentees

We are looking for young adult members looking for mentorship in various aspects of their lives. Members must currently reside in Toronto, or be able to come in for the meeting, and can be in college/university, a recent graduate, or a young professional.  In the application, there is a section to list all the topics you would are interested in; these can range from expertise in your professional field, to finding a work/life balance, to your involvement in the Jewish community, just to name a few. Once matched with a mentor, all we require is to meet them for coffee, the rest is for you two to discuss and decide their future involvement, if any.

The application deadline is Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Mentors and mentees will be matched once all applications are received, and will be contacted once the matches are finalized. Please note that the number of matches per mentor and mentee will depend on the number of applications received and topics available.
