Help your kids become Mitzvah Superstars
The HBT Kids Mitzvah Club is back with an all-new format just in time for Chanukah 2015.
This year the Mitzvah Club is delivering gifts to families being supported by Chai Lifeline, a Jewish charity that helps children dealing with serious illnesses. The twist for the Mitzvah Club this year is that Holy Blossom’s families will register and then be assigned the profile of a specific gift recipient for whom they will purchase an age-appropriate gift.
We are hoping parents actually take their children out to browse and consider what their assigned recipient might like for a gift. Perhaps they can even find a contribution out of their own piggy banks to actually pay for a portion of the gift. These actions will help take the mitzvah to the next level by having our children put their time, effort, thought and money towards another person.
Families are asked to bring in the gifts on Sunday November 29th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. to the Eisendrath Auditorium. Once there, the Holy Blossom children will have the opportunity to make a special card and/or decoration offering a little Chanukah cheer to the recipient of their gift.
All are welcome to join us to make Chanukah cards/decoration on the day, regardless of whether or not they contributed a gift. Pizza will be served.
Register now to be assigned a family.
We are very excited about being able to contribute to such a worthy cause while teaching our children the beauty of mitzvoth. Please feel free to forward this message to friends. If you have any questions, please contact us at kidsmitzvah@holyblossom.org and we will reply as quickly as possible.
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to help others in need.
