Heart to Heart

We just welcomed ten Israeli Palestinians, ten Israeli Jews and their counselors, for a visit to Holy Blossom Temple.  Rabbi Satz and myself were here to greet them and learn about their tremendous two and a half weeks at Camp Shomria together.
Our member Karen Mock is on the board of the organization which does incredible work to bring a deeper feeling of connection between the participants – who often live very close to each other, but would likely never have met without this program.
I feel that it is programs like these which provide hope both for a more equitable and just Israeli society.  Not only did the students learn about each other, but in coming to Holy Blossom Temple they had an opportunity to see Judaism in a completely different light.
