HABSTY Leadership 2015-2016
Last month the new HABSTY leadership for the 2015-2016 year was elected, and installed.
Before heading off to various camps for the summer, a few of the new board members shared their goals for the upcoming year in HABSTY and at Holy Blossom:
Neil Jonatan, incoming President: “This year I’m very excited to work closely with the entire board and grow HABSTY into a fun and informed group. One of my many goals is to enhance lounge nights and other activities with religious content to build on our Jewish identity.”
Carly Baldashin writes: “As co-communications vice president, I will be communicating through social media about all our upcoming events. I am looking forward to all the new friendships that are going to he formed through HABSTY!”
Harley Jonatan shares: “As a songleader, my first goal next year is to not only lead people in song, but also make it fun and energetic. Using the skills, knowledge and experience from camp George, Kutz camp and other times I’ve worked with experienced songleaders, I can’t wait to give back by starting Havdallah services, leading services and making programs. I can’t wait to see you at Havdallah next year!”
We are looking forward to a full and exciting year for HABSTY, HBTeens and all our Youth at Holy Blossom Temple. If you know a teen who is looking to get involved, gain some leadership skills, do some community service projects, meet new people and have a good time, be sure to have them check out our Facebook group HBTeens – there are always lots of great opportunities posted!
