Sunday January 24, 2016 – Maya
We had a busy day today, filled with great activities. Hatikvah was sang with the help of our two great Shamashim: Eli and Rebecca and also during service. We shared our Shabbat/highlights and Tsedaka. We had an interesting session with our Shinshinim Bar and Noam. Bar led us in few puzzle games in regards to his city of Chedera. Next week, we are so lucky, will have another session with the Shinshinim.
We had a special art project with Sandra, which will be on display soon.
Also, we had discussed the holiday Tu B’Sehvat and continued to view it on ipad the “Giving Tree” along with the message of the book. We came together to conclusion that it’s better to be a giver than receiver.
During Hebrew, we learned the seven species of Israel (wheat, barley, grape, pomegranate, fig, olive and date). Along, with the two names of trees in Hebrew (Eitz and Ilan). We had our quiz up and included lesson 12. Those students that were absent will do it next week.
