Grade 1A – Daniella

For Rosh Hashanah today, we learned about the four sounds of the Shofar; Tekiah(1 blast), Shevarim (3 blasts), Teruah (9 short blasts) and Tekiah Gedolah (one very long blast).  We decorated an apple today with the things that we like to do during Rosh Hashanah, like listening to the Shofar.
Next week we will begin learning the Aleph Bet with the letter Aleph. I am also looking forward to learning about Sukkot together. In addition to many things, it is the Fall harvest holiday.
