Grade 1A – Daniella
This week we talked about Sukkot. Sukkot, we learned is a harvest holiday and a festival of thanksgiving. On Sukkot, the Torah tells us to be in the Sukkah (a temporary hut – without a solid roof) eating or even sleeping. We drew pictures of the people we love on paper chains to hang in the Sukkah.
We learned the letter Aleph and that it is silent. When we put a vowel under it called the Patach it makes an AH sound. The two new words we learned were Abba and Adam in Hebrew.
Thanks,
Daniella
