Fundraising update: Now so close to $29 million!
Fundraising momentum continues to build as we move ever closer to our Dec. 2nd Housewarming Celebration and Dedication of our Beit Knesset, our House of Gathering.
In the last couple of weeks alone, since our last Life@HBT update, we’ve bumped our total by over $200,000. And if we step back and consider what we’ve achieved to this point –together – it’s really quite remarkable. With this project, this kind of fundraising effort, we’re leading the Canadian Jewish community once again, as we build for the future. And those efforts must continue, with about $4 million still to go. Our goal, and frankly our need, is for every congregant to say “Hineini” – Here I am – and to make a personally meaningful gift.
To this end, we have many new meetings and conversations underway. And we’re reaching out, one by one, to every congregant over the next number of months. So that we can all share in the joy of what we’re accomplishing together.
But back to our Housewarming and Dedication of our Central Atrium and Renewed Spaces on December 2nd, from 2:30-5:30. We all saw the power of our new building when we opened it (as a work-still-in-progress) over the High Holy Days. How we all gathered in the Central Atrium, either before or after services. How family and friends were embracing, chatting, laughing. How we were waving and blowing kisses at one another, from 2nd floor to 1st. How the bonds of community have been strengthened through the design of our new “Temple living room.”
Now imagine it all with beautiful new furniture, our living wall in place, flooring, paint, lighting, glass railings, and all the finishes. And with special guests and dignitaries on hand to help us celebrate. Truly, it’s going to be an event you should not miss. So please do more than pencil it into your calendars. PLEASE COME, help us light the first Chanukah candle and share in the continuing history of Holy Blossom Temple with our whole community.
As always, we thank you for all your support, financial and otherwise, of our Renewal Project.
