This three-part series explores the phenomenon of the ‘Closeted Jew’ within Hollywood film and television.
This term refers to characters whose Jewish identities are ‘closeted’ and ‘coded’ in order to conform to the dominant gentile culture, while at the same time remaining recognizable to Jewish audiences.
