Demolition is drawing near
A short update this week, friends.
If you’ve been following along with these bi-weekly Renewal construction updates, you’ll know that our general contractor, Pomerleau Construction, has mobilized on-site in a big way. In addition to building a new outdoor covered walkway connecting our Main Sanctuary to our School Wing, Pomerleau has erected various barriers, fencing and hoarding to maintain safety and security for everyone visiting the Temple. Most recently, additional hoarding has been added on the north (Dewbourne) side of our campus.
Pomerleau’s demolition sub-contractor is currently engaged in the painstaking process of testing interior and exterior walls and surfaces to ensure we know what lies beneath. Once that testing is finished, extensive demolition of our now-vacated administration wing will begin in order to make way for our new, light-filled central Atrium, Library, Café, Youth Lounge, Family Chapel and the rest of our Phase 1 spaces. And all in a LEED Silver Certified, environmentally-friendly building!
