Conversations About Jewish Life Then and Now
Sisterhood Torah Study
Jack Kugelmass, MSW, RSW
Wednesdays, July 8 – August 26, 2015
9:30 a.m.
Jewish life is arguably an ongoing odyssey of social, historical, religious, emotional and mythical elements that serve to both enrich the imagination and drive us crazy at the same time.
Whether we are living in an era of Kingship, when David was enjoying military success and personal chaos, or now, when we recently learned of population studies suggesting a statistically bleak future for Jewish life in the Diaspora, our Jewish lives never lack for interesting topics of conversation.
This summer, while our teacher Mark Goodman is on a summer hiatus, join us as we informally explore some of aspects of Jewish life that our fore-bearers discussed as well as some issues that are front and centre for us today.
Join Jack, a social worker and member of the congregation, who will lead our discussions. Handouts will be provided. All are welcome.

Conversations about Jewish Life, then and now catches the pain and responsibility of being a Jew throughout our history. Thank you for such humbling lessons.
