Join us as we welcome Professor Michael Marrus who shares the following:
This lecture will take us back seventy years, to the delirious events of the liberation of Paris commemorated last summer. Drawing upon films made at the time, Professor Marrus will point to a tragic oversight of those days — the Jews. Few people in France had any real idea of what we now call the Holocaust, and the pitiful return of a tiny remnant of those Jews who had been deported only deepened the confusion of the time.
