Back to Work!
Renewal construction updates (almost) as they happen, for the week of October 5, 2015.
Now that the High Holy Days are behind us, our work crews can get back into a full, work-week rhythm (whoops…except for Thanksgiving next Monday) as they finish off areas in our school wing, one by one. We are now in the final stages of our preliminary construction work, which will allow the school wing to house all of our Temple activities during the balance of Phase 1 of Renewal, slated to begin very soon.
This past week, work was finished on the elevator vestibules on the lower level and on the third floor (an essential component of our fire safety plan). Our electricians continued their detailed work, moving fire devices over from the old fire panel to the new one. And, our glass supplier started work on the new entrance into the Boardroom foyer from the Ava Road parking lot, which will serve as our primary entrance to the school wing for the balance of Phase 1 construction. That work should be finished this week.
We thank you for your continued patience and support of Renewal and trust that you felt a palpable sense of excitement during the High Holy Days, as we anticipate the work to come that will create our gorgeous central Atrium, our brand new Family Chapel and much much more!
