Annual Tzedakah Fair

Annual Grade 7 Tzedakah Fair

Our grade 7 students participated in the Tzedakah fair this month. 9 Community organizations came to Temple to set up information tables, and the students spent the first part of the evening learning about the communities that each agency supports, the programs they offer, and ways that we can support them.

Students were then divided into small groups, and given $200 cash from the YEC Tzedakah fund. This money is collected by the sale of snack each week during school.  Each small group was tasked with the decision of how they wanted to allocate their money to the various charitable agencies they learned about.

Each of our guests representing various agencies in our community commented on how thoughtful, polite, inquisitive and bright our students were.
