A bit soggy, but still making good progress …
Our intrepid construction crew (growing in size by the day), has made real progress since our last update, 2 weeks ago. Yes, even despite the ice storm last weekend. Here are a few highlights: The glass roof over our gorgeous new Atrium is complete, with roof finishing details now underway. The walls in the new administration wing are almost completely framed, defining the future work spaces for our admin team. New mechanical equipment which will provide state-of-the-art ventilation to the entire 1937 building – has been moved into place in the lower level mechanical area and walls are now being erected to fully define the space. And hallways on the second and third floors are being finished in preparation for the dramatic guardrails that will soon be delivered and installed.
The construction crew has developed a wonderful rhythm as they sprint towards our planned late summer finish line. A reminder that you can monitor their progress for yourself on our 2 live-streaming construction cameras, by clicking right here.
As you know, Phase 1 of our Project includes not only our light-filled Central Atrium, but also our brand new Family Chapel, Café, Youth Lounge, Judaica Shop, Library, modern heating and cooling systems and more … all in a LEED Silver Certified, environmentally-friendly building.
Aleinu … It is upon US.
And please don’t forget about our shared goal to fully fund Phase 1 construction in time for Rosh Hashanah, this fall. We’re currently just a hair under $27.5 million raised, which means we have a little over $4 million to go.
