December 9 – Grade 5 – Tali

Shalom everyone,
It’s all about light and fun on Chanukah.We made some Chanukiyot from cookies and chocolate and more goodies and ate them! It was a real great hands-on experience led by our Shinshinim.
We were also invited to light up the fourth candle with others at Holy Blossom, joining the PJ Library program which we hosted, and sang the blessings and some songs.
We looked for words in a Hebrew word search all about Chanukah and acted out the story of the Maccabees and the Assyrian Greeks at the service with David Gershon and Harley Jonatan! We even had some time to practice a bit of Hebrew reading! It was a great day!
